Training Program:
Fleet Feet Sports Nashville is offering a 2nd annual Women's Half Marathon Training Program beginning on Saturday, July 9th at 7am. This 12 week program is open to runners, walkers and run/walkers with a limit of 400 participants. The first group workout will be a three mile run or walk, beginning at the Fleet Feet store. When you register for this women's only training program, you will receive a training schedule, weekly group workouts with mapped routes and fluids, the resources of a coach, physical therapist, masseuse and a nutritionist, a Nike technical tank top and a $25 Nike coupon to be used in the store! You will also have the resources of 400 other women, mothers, daughters, sisters and best friends to encourage you to reach your goal of completing a half marathon! Registration is now open! Niki has been a Certified Personal Trainer for over 15 years and is the owner of Niki G’s Fitness, the largest boot camp program for women in the Nashville area. Her running group members have completed three half marathons in the past year and several 5k, and 10k races. Niki specializes in helping women run their first half marathon by incorporating cross training, group runs, and an overall training program to be ready to finish their first half strong! Her motto is simply “set BIG goals and take one step at a time.” She believes all women deserve to take time for themselves through training and to experience the feeling of completing a race! Niki G’s training group has members of all running and fitness levels. All levels are welcome to join! Race Training is FREE for all Boot Camp members, but non-member options are also available. Gary is very passionate about running and helping those he trains succeed. He has written articles for several running publications and has over 35 years running experience. Gary has run over 1,100 races, including 25 marathons. Coach Jenny Hadfield is the co-author of Marathoning for Mortals and Running for Mortals. She is a nationally recognized speaker and writer and is co-owner of Chicago Endurance Sports.
