SCOTTSDALE –TEMPE, ARIZ. (March 19, 2012) Amica Insurance has signed on to be presenting sponsor of the Lady Speed Stick® Women’s Half Marathon to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure® held in Scottsdale and Tempe, on Sunday November 4, 2012.The event draws women from all over the country and boasts a one-of-a-kind patent-pending finisher’s medal with removable charm, a designer goodie bag and an incredible two-day health and fitness expo.

More than 5,000 women are expected to register for this year’s event and more than 18,000 are anticipated to join in on all the weekend festivities.

Get a group of girlfriends, co-workers or your club together and enter the race as a team. Running as part of a team creates a friendly competition designed to build camaraderie and maximize the experience! All participants run the entire race whether at your own pace or all together, walkers are welcome, the fun is knowing you are out there together.

• Teams can have an unlimited number of members but must have at least 5 female members.
• There will be awards for the top three teams.
• Team scores are based on the finish times of the top 5 female finishers only.
• Individual team members are still eligible for age group awards based solely on their individual finish time.

All Half Marathon & 5K participants will receive a designer goodie bag - a reusable tote with a brand new design (pictured right)! There will also be great giveaways and raffles at the pre-race expo and post race party.
