ST. PETERSBURG, FL, (January 11, 2012) – The Women’s Half Marathon proudly announces Lady Speed Stick® Antiperspirant/Deodorant as the title sponsor for the 2012 Women’s Half Marathon Series, America’s largest and most popular women’s half marathon series.

The 2012 Lady Speed Stick® Women’s Half Marathon Series consists of four events: Bloomington-Minneapolis, MN (August 26); Nashville, TN (September 22); Scottsdale-Tempe, AZ (November 4) and St. Petersburg, FL (November 18). The series, along with a companion 5k, should host more than 25,000 runners and walkers this year.

The Women’s Half Marathon – St. Petersburg Announces 2011 Event Date |

St. Petersburg, Fla. (Jan. 24, 2011) -The third annual Women's Running Magazine Women's Half Marathon to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Women's Running Magazine 5K- St. Petersburg will take place Sunday, November 20, 2011 in downtown St. Petersburg.
"We had tremendous success at our race in St. Petersburg last year with more than 6,500 registered participants and a sold-out expo," said Dawna Stone, president of Women's Running magazine and founder of The Women's Half Marathon Series. "We had a 42 percent increase of registered participants since our inaugural event in 2009 and we are looking forward to another great year.
"St. Petersburg welcomes the return of the Women's Half Marathon," said St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster. "Now in its third year, this event, organized by a national business here in the city, gets bigger and better every year. There's no better backdrop in November for a race than the sunny streets of St. Pete's beautiful downtown waterfront."
The Women's Half Marathon and Women's Running Magazine 5K will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Since the inaugural race in 2009, more than $1 million has been raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Women's Half Marathon features a patent-pending two-in-one finisher's medal and charm, a designer goodie bag, technical race shirt and a post-race finisher's breakfast and cookie café.
