Lynn Gray, is a long distance runner having run more than 90 marathons. She has been an age group winner for over 25 years, and an All American Masters Track and Field recipient. Lynn has been coaching men and women to establish aerobic fitness through walking and running for over 20 years with her “Walk to Run” © programs. Currently she is the founder and President of “Take…The First Step,” a club that supports both walkers and runners of all ages in the Tampa Bay community. Lynn has both a Level I and II RRCA coaching certification. She recently published her first book: Fit and Faster – 100 workouts for the walker and runner.
A veteran of over 150 races, including marathons, urban adventure races, triathlons, and recently, an ultra-marathon, Debbie is the founder of Run Tampa, a community of over 1,400 Tampa Bay area runners. She coaches experienced and beginning runners for the City of Tampa. Debbie derives particular satisfaction from working with women who were convinced they could never become runners and being at the finish line when they complete their first 5K. She encourages event hose beginning runners to make the Women's Half Marathon their long term goal. FAB 50 Women on the Run Pamela has always used running as her sport of choice and values the many benefits that one can achieve by distance running training. She is the coach for FAB 50 Women on the Run team which is made up of adventurous and spirited women of all ages, shapes and sizes who have taken the challenge to train for a half marathon. Pamela offers a 26 week training program, exclusively for the Lady Speed Stick Women's Half Marathon St. Petersburg. Training begins in May and no running experience is required. Saturday morning group runs are held in Largo, FL and training schedules are provided. The team has a private Facebook group where they share their stories, connect with each other and enjoy the community of women pursuing the same goal: reach the finish line of 13.1 miles! Pamela offers weekly support, motivation, nutritional guidance, training tips and more. The group celebrates the completion of their training with a visit to the two-day expo and a private brunch together on the day before the race. Coach Joette has been a runner for over 15 years completing 7 marathons and countless half marathons (including the 2009 Women’s half) and is a certified Road Runners Association of America Coach, Certified Team in Training Run Coach, and USA Triathlon Coach. Joette partnered with her husband Dan Bergeson to launch a run and walk training group, RunVie Racing in the Tampa area. RunVie Racing was built at the request of many fellow athletes to offer a group training program which provided individualized support for competitors and completers. Nicole has been in the fitness industry since 2000, working as a personal trainer, fitness manager and an owner of private studios. She has a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a Masters degree in Human Movement with an emphasis on Sports Performance. Nicole teaches continuing education courses for fitness and wellness professionals, as well as, clinics at local bike and running stores. Along with personal training and teaching, she and her husband also have a coaching service called Clark Endurance Training. Nicole actively trains and competes year round in half marathons and Olympic/Half Ironman Triathlon. Nicole and Nick own and operate Fitness Together in Lakewood Ranch, FL and live in University Park, FL with their two chocolate labs. Clark Endurance Training provides sport-specific programming for individuals who aspire to complete an endurance event. Nicole’s goal is to inspire and change lives through endurance sports. Currently Clark Endurance Training has over 20 women training for the Women's Half Marathon in November, which meets twice a week in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch area, for speed and core workouts and long runs. Jackie Miller has been coaching for 5 years and is a USAT Certified Coach, Certified Personal Trainer and RRCA. She is a coach with the New Balance InMotion Beginning Running Program and is a partner at etricoach, which is a triathlon and running coaching company. At etricoach, the programs are all encompassing, covering everything from the training for the race itself, through nutrition, pacing, race strategy and strength and conditioning. Running Programs can be in group format through individual one on one programs. In the past, Jackie has coached group programs for the Sarasota Half, the Palmer Ranch PAL Half and the Disney Half. The Women's Half Marathon Program, for local athletes consist of approximately 4 runs per week, including a long run, tempo run, steady state run and hills or speed work. Nutrition, pacing and strategies would also be covered. The group would meet 1-2 times a week for group runs.
